The riding surface of any skate ramp is one of the critical elements that contribute to the success of the facility. Evolution skate ramps are designed to allow 4 surfacing options:
Whichever riding surface option you choose for your skate ramps, the framework principle remains the same. In the instance of Option 1 & 2, the opportunity of change from one to the other in subsequent years is possible.
Plywood is highly desirable from a users point of view. Offering a 'soft ride' experience with the correct amount of traction between wheels and surface.
Though considered a 'budget option', it's an ideal choice for indoor skateparks where weather deterioration is not an influencing factor.
The top surface is Birch Ply, ideal due to it's firmness and resistance to splintering. Evolution use Eastern European Birch Ply sourced from Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Russia as part of the Responsible Purchasing Directive.
