Skatepark skate ramps and BMX ramps by Evolution Skateparks

Unique technology and progressive skate ramp design

Regardless of the final design layout and your preferred riding surface, quality, durability, low maintenance and adaptability are the key principles to the Evolution Skatepark Ramp construction concept. Every skatepark designed by Evolution will, unless specified, cater for all ages, abilities and disciplines and allow the maximum volume of participants at any one time. Manufactured in-house for a bespoke service, the benefits of our system, outlined below, demonstrate our dedication and attention to detail in the provision of an uncompromised, superior and highly competitive alternative to permanent concrete systems.

The Evolution skate ramp STRUCTURE

GALVANISED STEEL FRAMEWORK – for unrivalled strength & durability.
JIG MANUFACTURED – for maximum precision, quality and continuity.

FULLY MODULAR SYSTEM:

  • Multi-directional and configurational possibilities for single ramps or entire skateparks.
  • Skatepark layouts can be adjusted easily to maintain interest.
  • Individual units can be added to at a later date.
  • Modular components can be utilised to make alternatives.
  • Modular ramp systems can be removed and relocated with relative ease.

‘PLATFORM’ TECHNOLOGY:

  • The same basic construction principle remains the same, regardless of the chosen riding surface.
  • Evolution variants may be connected.
  • Future ‘series’ Evolution ramps will still connect to previous series assemblies.

The transfer angle between ramp and ground must be smooth and minimal. Evolution skate ramps feature unique CURVED TOE PLATES fitted as standard, allowing ramps to meet the ground at a virtually 0° angle providing a smooth, safe and fluid ride.

Choice of riding surface is a critical element. It must provide traction without friction and the durability to withstand impact, vandalism and weathering. Evolution offers 4 riding surface options including the highly recommended Skatelite Pro (pictured), with an unrivalled heavy duty surface composition of 24mm over 2, 3 or 4 layers.

Some areas of platforms or rolling surfaces are more prone to wear or damage from ‘grinding’ and BMX bike stunt peg impact. Evolution skate ramps fit Platform Wear Plates as standard on the area behind the coping tube, eliminating premature failure of the riding surface.

Evolution Safety Railings exceed BS height recommendations for extra safety and are constructed in heavy duty, 40mm box section steel with 22mm vertical tube for superior strength. Being the most prominent part of the structure, railings are available in a choice of colours that may blend into or compliment the surroundings.

Evolution ramps feature heavy duty profiled steel on all exposed riding surface exterior edges to act as a 'grindable’, PROTECTED EDGE without intruding on the riding surface, preventing premature failure through wear and impact damage. In addition, concealing riding surface edges prevents unauthorised tampering by eliminating easy access.

Galvanised enclosure panels prevent build up of litter, debris and unwelcome loitering under the ramps. They also reduce likelihood of vandalism and tampering underneath ramps. Our enclosure panels surpass other manufacturers by using heavy duty 3mm laser cut steel, fixed with Tamper Resistant Mono Bolts to stop intrusion under the ramps.
