The riding surface of any skate ramp is one of the critical elements that contribute to the success of the facility. Evolution skate ramps are designed to allow 4 surfacing options:
Whichever riding surface option you choose for your skate ramps, the framework principle remains the same. In the instance of Option 1 & 2, the opportunity of change from one to the other in subsequent years is possible.
The proprietary riding surface used by Evolution on 95% of our permanent outdoor skate ramps is an industry exclusive 4 layer, 24mm thick composition with bonded & fastened Skatelite Pro 1000 synthetic surface.
Used extensively at Skateparks worldwide and endorsed by many world class skaters and BMXers.

Used in conjunction with an 18mm substrate, this surface offers good natural SOUND & IMPACT ABSORBTION and finds a compromise between durability & the 'soft ride' associated with less durable plywood surfaces.

THE BENEFITS OF A SYNTHETIC SKATE RAMP SURFACE:
• Smooth & fast • Quiet • Highly durable • Superior grip with little friction • Fire resistant • Remains a safe temperature • Dries very quickly • Doesn't rot or splinter • Cleaner friendly

Evolution Skateparks have worked with synthetic skate ramp surfaces for longer than most skatepark construction companies and have a unique BONDED & FASTENED surfacing system. The benefits of which are:
• Surface is held uniformly across 100% of its surface area • Floating surface allows expansion/contraction without distortion • Reduced pressure points allow more consistent curve • Rubberised, flexible adhesive enhances acoustic impact absorption • Unauthorised tapering/removal of surface virtually eradicated • Up to 50% reduction in exposed fixings
